Monda is a picturesque village located in the province of Málaga, in the region of Andalusia, southern Spain.
The village is located about 25 kilometers from Marbella and 48 kilometers from Málaga, in the Sierra de las Nieves valley.

History

Monda has a rich and varied history dating back to pre-Roman times.
During Moorish rule, it was an important strategic and agricultural center.
The current village developed during the Middle Ages,

After the Christian reconquest in the 15th century, Monda was integrated into the kingdom of Castile.
