Casabermeja
Casabermeja is a municipality located in the province of Málaga, in the autonomous region of Andalusia, southern Spain.
The village is located about 20 kilometers north of Málaga,
and is known for its picturesque location among hills and mountains, as well as its rich cultural heritage and traditional Andalusian atmosphere.
History
Casabermeja has a long history dating back to prehistory,
with archaeological finds that testify to human habitation in the region since ancient times.
During the Roman period it was known as "Menthese,"
an important agricultural settlement because of its fertile soil.
Under Moorish rule, it was fortified and developed as a strategic point because of its location between the coast and the interior.
After the Christian reconquest in the 15th century, Casabermeja came under Castilian rule
and grew into an agricultural and commercial center.
